Personal Background
Emily Blincoe is a freelance photographer based in Austin, Texas, and Nashville, Tennessee. She was born and raised in Austin, where she developed an interest in photography at a young age. She did not attend formal art school, but learned from online tutorials, books, and experimentation. She started posting her photos on Instagram in 2011, and soon gained a large following for her colorful and creative arrangements of everyday objects. She has worked with many clients, such as Target, Canon, Levi’s, and Marriott Hotels, and has traveled to various places for her projects.
Style
Emily Blincoe’s style is characterized by color, symmetry, and simplicity. She often arranges objects by color, shape, and size, creating smooth gradients, geometric patterns, and pleasing contrasts. She uses plain backgrounds to highlight the objects and their compositions. She also captures scenes from her travels, adventures with her dog, and portraits of her friends and family, using natural light, vibrant hues, and playful poses. Her style can be compared to minimalism, pop art, and still life painting, as she focuses on the form and aesthetics of ordinary things.

Emily Blincoe’s philosophy is to find beauty and joy in the mundane and the unexpected. She is inspired by nature, colors, shapes, and quiet moments. She likes to have fun and express her sense of humor through her photos, and to share her perspective and experiences with others. She is not trying to make a political or social statement with her work, but rather to evoke positive emotions and inspire creativity. She believes that photography is a way of communicating and connecting with people, and that anyone can be an artist with the right attitude and tools.

Emily Blincoe has influenced me in my work by showing me how to use color, order, and composition to create visually satisfying images. She has also taught me how to look for beauty and inspiration in everyday objects and situations, and how to experiment with different materials and techniques. She has been influenced by other photographers, such as William Eggleston, Stephen Shore, and Martin Parr, who are known for their use of color and their documentation of ordinary life. She has also been influenced by her travels, her dog, and her friends.

Artist Statement
My images are a tribute to Emily Blincoe’s style of photography, which I admire for its color, symmetry, and simplicity. I wanted to create images that emulate her way of arranging objects by their hue, shape, and size, and to capture the beauty and joy of ordinary things. I used taking a photo to generate the images, using different objects, such as eggs, scissors, and fruits, and different background colors, such as green, yellow, and purple. I tried to make my images realistic, but also abstract and playful, to show my own perspective and creativity. My images tell a story of how I learned from Emily Blincoe and how I expressed myself through photography.
